Lack of Ethics in Organisations

But must make sure that the rumors are not used by unscrupulous ppl to mislead others. For eg retrenchment talk is sometimes circulated until it eventually becomes reality or the rumor-monger hopes it materialises for the targets of their rumor, or unrespected seniors use it just to demoralise staff. Justice must be seen to prevail as the appraisee is often judged by a senior who herself is held in low regard by her seniors, her peers and other juniors in an organisation but frequently, the status of an employee is only mainly determined by his senior. And worst of all, an appraiser may not get along with all other staff but always appear to be on very casual terms with the most senior which gives them very dirty informal power though this may seem more apparent than real.
